pnoise jitter

Hi all,
can anybody tell me how to calculate jitter in by pnoise anlysis.
i m using cadence Spectre RF as simulator. i have gone through cadence document
and did pss followed by pnoise as method explained there.
Afterthat that by using Direct plot option i ploted pnoise result i.e. sec/sqrt(Hz) vs frequecy(Hz). now can any body tell me 1)how the absolute jitter can be measured from that graph 2) How should the frequecy range over which pnoise analysis be decided. 3) does any other method to measure jitter?

thanks in adavance
Nagendra

circuit to measure jitter

Not sure, but I would say you have to integrate the result over the PLL bandwidth.

pnoise noise type

In pnoise anaylsis window, there are four items in the noise type select at the bottom: Jitter, modulated, sources, timedomain. select Jitter, after running the PSS and pnoise simulation, the jitter value can be calculated directly.

how to measure jitter in cadence

Hi,

See the attached app note from maxim-ic.
You can download it from : **broken link removed**

Please note that its period jitter and not phase jitter.
