synchronous counter

Hi everyone. There are 2 questions i cannot solve here. So i am hoping someone here can help me out. Here are questions:

(1) Design a synchronous counter using J-K flip flops which will count
through the sequence 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 0.

(2) Design a synchronous down counter using J-K flip flops which counts
backwards from 9 down to zero.

Re: Designing digital electronic cicuits

xtb789,
The book "Digital Fundementals" by Floyd provides a clear and easy to understand discussion about this topic.

Cheers,
H

Forgive my ignorance, is that a e-book which i can download here or i have to purchase that book?

write the binary equivalents of the digits in order in a column.Next in another column write the digits in their next state.Looking at the present and previos o/ps get the J-K value required.Form a truth table and you will get the required connections.

Refer Digital design By morris mano.I don't know if that is available as an e-book
