monitor goes red

My monitor goes RED???

Whenever I start my computer, it loads normally..but my monitor

goes red but i can see the Deskop. Its like looking to Desktop through

RED filterglass. After 10min, RED colour is lost and monitor behaves

normally. What happened to my monitors, guys? I know its hardware problem

in my monitor. Tell me to what that problem is related to and how can i

mend it.

thank you

hi,
did u check the cable.
sometimes a wire loose can cause this.

montor goes red

Sounds to me that the red rive circuitry or the tube could be faulty. Be carfull if you decide to look at it yourself as there is a very high voltage generated at the final anode of the tube.

computer monitor going red

Go inside the monitor but be carefull at high voltages. In the most of the cases, you have a faulty contact on the video board or in the CRT connector, resolder the components. However, in very rare cases I've encountered situations when the heater made intermitent contact with the cathode. Check with an ohmmeter between the heater and the red cathode (with the video board removed and cold CRT). In this case you can try to discharge a capacitor between the shorted terminals of the heater and the cathode. It will either remove the fault, or it will completely destroy the heater, this is some sort of a last sollution. Don't blame me if you have to throw away your CRT after this operation (if it is the case, of course).

butts 101,
Guess u have some loose contact around the video section. re-sol;der whatever u find loose.

luck,

monitor going red

hello there...
i don't have to be too careful with high voltage since i'll be dissecting the monitor after unplugging the power or do i?

And where is the most probable place that wire would be loose??

thank you

monitor goes red what is the cause

my monitor is daewoo 532x

thank you

my computer screen goes red

There are still high voltages inside the monitor after switching off, you have to wait till the capacitors discharge.

Wait approx 10 mins and all should be fine.

Try looking around the back of the tube, at the board there, where the video cable comes in through upto the board and all connections around it.

Check also for other loose connections throughout the monitor.

Does the usual method of temporary repair work? (bang it on the side - lol).

monior goes red

My monitor is
Daewoo 532X
S.No. Gc07370258
Chasis No 531X

No success...
I opened my monitor. I didn't see any loose connection that i needed to

solder. There are many resistors, capacitors and diodes...is there any

chance anyone of those being burn out? I just cleaned surfaces of CRT

(black coloured dust) , blow the dust from the surface of devices.

When i re-assemble and booted my computer...same problem...RED Monitor

and after sometimes no more red coloured..monitor behaves normally.

There is a big capacitor "C0824 220uF 400V" (is this a video amplifier

power suppy IC) Is that problem related to that?

Bang in the side of monitor doesn't work..but monitor flickers when doing

that.

thank you

monitor circuit diagram model 532x

I have attached the electronic schematic diagram for this monitor:

Daewoo 432X_523X.pdf

Sheet 1: Power & Connection Section
Sheet 2: Control & Vert.Out Section
Sheet 3: Horizontal Section
Sheet 4: Video Section

This will enable you to trouble-shoot your monitor and resolve the problem with help from these fine poeple.

Best Regards,
Bernard
