percentage overshoot

It is magnitude of overshoot to magnitude of final(desired) output value [ * 100 ].

percent overshoot formula

better to verify basic books on control systems by nagoorkani or nagarath and gopal or ogata

percentage overshoot formula

Porcentage overshoot refers to the ζ damping factor for a 0.7071 as minimal overshoot occours. For ζ > 0.7071 is cero but there is no amortiguation. FOr ζ < 0.7071 there is underamortiguation and the systems begins to oscillate.
