a question about package

i am preparing for a high speed ic design project and asked to look for some package types which allow the data transfer speed of pins over 5Gbps, i wonder what the relationship between package types and data transfer speed of pins, and what the suitable package types are.

Hi,
Since the data speed is very high in your case, you would need to consider the package effects, such as parasitic inductance and capacitance, simulate IC and package interaction, verify package layouts created through autorouting, and analyze the electromagnetic (EM) characteristics of the entire design.
