Hi Sirs..

I am currently doing a project on the study of power line modem. 1 modem uses ADSL and the other xDSL technology.

I dont seem to find any significant differences with rgds to the SNR and BER.

can any of you advice me what can i look out for when i do the testing. Need to find out their differences.

btw..the modem under test is Aztech HL100E (http://www.aztech.de/HL100e.htm)and D-Link DHP100(**broken link removed**)

xdsl vs adsl

What do you mean by "xDSL" ?

In the industry and standards this means any copperwire transmission technology.
Basically ADSL is one kind of xDSL. Other kinds are VDSL, HDSL, SDSL. So the x stands for any one of those.

May be you are looking to find answers about OFDM or DMT transmssion tecniques.
