calculating antenna phase center

plz tell what do you mean by phase center ...it will be helpful for others to help u

calculate phase center

it just the E or H field of the phase center

how to calculate reference phase

phase center is a reference point for an antenna such tat the phase of the E field is
independent of the direction (Θ and Φ) wrt to that point. with respect to this phase
center , the fields are ideal spherical waves.thus phase center can also be considered as the point from which radiation emanates.so when we consider any spherical shell with phase center point as centre, all points on the shell will be of same phase..

there is not much theory developed to calculate phase centre points by a well defined
procedure even now..mostly trial and error and analytical methods are used...
and many antennas have phase centers as surfaces(locus of points)..

try this ..it might work..find the Electric field component..and try to play with the reference point so that the phase term becomes constant...try using some program like matlab .. to do it ..it will be much easier i guess..
