Hi

SRAM, DRAM, DDRSDRAM: which is better for a computer memory?

which among the above gives better performance for P-III system confinguration?

Thanks & Regards,
Vishwa

Re: SRAM, DRAM, DDRSDRAM: which is better for a computer mem

hi~vishwa
if you willl gonna ask me I rather choose DDR coz its more faster than SDR.
The difference the is this the SDR will only take for PC100-PC133 clock and DDR from PC266-400. SO DDR memory is much more faster. this clock frequency of the memory is the FSB.

For a while just be sure that your P3 board will have DDR slot.

thanks. I hope this helps

HI

thats almost right as the DDR RAM uses both +ve & -ve edges of the driving clock which makes it double speed compared to the SD RAM.

but when talking about the SRAM, Well, Its the fastest but its the most expensine (6 MOS transistors per cell) compared to SD & DDR (1~2 transisator per cell).

also, because of large number of transistors, the SRAM size is much smaller compared to the current generations of the DDR & SD.

that's all
hope this was helpfull

SDRAM With PC133 Is better than else
