duty cycle oscilloscope

When i Display a Period ( one cycle of a waveform ) on the oscilloscope
how do i get 50% duty cycle?

The onc cycle takes up the whole screen on the oscilloscope so thats the
Period of the waveform and how do i get 50% of the duty cycle on the
oscilloscope?

oscilloscope use: duty cycle

try changing the time /div switch.

measure duty cycle with oscilloscope

To display the Period in HALF of the oscillscope screen is that what i have to
do ? to get 50% of the duty cycle of the waveform?

oscilloscope duty cycle

Duty cycle is property of signal and is not depend on oscilloscope settings.

duty cycle in oscilloscope

If i have a waveforms "Period" display on the oscilloscope how do i get it
to display 50% duty cycle of a Period?

Would it be HALF of the display?

oscilloscope(duty cycle)

It would not display 50% duty cycle in most cases. You may set T/div to half the value, if possible, to display half of a periode.

fifty percent duty cycle

To display 50% duty cycle of a Period on the oscillscope how do i set this up
or do this?

square wave oscilloscope

"display 50% duty cycle of a Period"

Your words are nonsense. Please rephrase!

square wave 20% duty cycle

What does 50% duty cycle look like on a square wave on the oscilloscope?
What does 40% duty cycle look like on a square wave on the oscilloscope?
What does 30% duty cycle look like on a square wave on the oscilloscope?
what does 20% duty cycle look like on a square wave on the oscilloscope?

Is there a duty cycle "Chart" that i could look at?

duty cycle on an oscilloscope

Duty cycle is the percentage of time the pulse is high.
A square wave, by definition, has 50% duty cycle. If it isn't 50%, then it isn't a square wave.

how do you find the duty cycle on an oscilloscope

Similar answer to your other thread. An oscilloscope displays whatever input signal you give it. It does not modify the signal in any way, including its duty cycle.

duty in oscilloscope

When i hook up a 555 timer clock up to the oscilloscope and i adjust the
duty cycle trimmer on the 555 timer when it displays on the oscilloscope how
do i know the square wave is 50% or 70% duty cycle when im turning the
duty cycle trimmer on the 555 timer to calibrate it to this duty cycle i need
chart to reference me with the oscilloscope

Added after 4 hours 47 minutes:

Thanks Echo47 for the duty cycle chart

duty cycle form 10%-90% how many oscilloscope divisions/cubes are there
when the signal or pulse is high for a
10%?
20%?
30%?
40%?
etc..

I just don't know how many oscilloscope divisions/cubes they are for each of
there duty cycles so i could count the divisions of the high state of the square
wave signal or pulse and know what duty cycle i am on the oscilloscope

oscilloscope and duty cycles

You sound like a young student. Have you studied Algebra? This is a simple application of ratios and graphs, so you must understand them first.

50 dollar oscillascope

Firstly, go figure out how to operate an oscilloscope.
Secondly, go read up on the definition of duty cycles.

oscilloscope on time duty cycle of a square wave

How many division on in a 10% duty cycle?
how many division on in a 20% duty cycle
how many division on in a 30%,40,50,60,etc duty cycle?

duty cycle square wave 90 percent

Are you collecting points this way?

50 percent duty cycle and wave

Can you please help me figure this out?

definitition of duty cycle

I put my oscilloscope on the output of my 555 timer circuit i see a square wave
on my oscilloscope. I adjust the 555 times circuit duty cycle trim pot but how
do i know what the percent of my duty cycle?

So when im looking at the oscilloscope i can see 20%,30%,40,50,60,70 etc
so i can calibrate my 555 timer to a duty cycle ?
