Hi All,

I want to know how to design an LC filter for flyback output. I am using PI tny288pg flyback design. on that, they are using the 3.3microhenry inductor and 100microfarad capacitor for LC filter. How they got the LC values ?

PI Expert tool I am using

What is the switching frequency? Around 100 kHz ?
I think the input specifications are given by the user i.e. you. Furthermore, even so, to correctly compute the output filter, the ESR of the cap should be known as well, so we do not know what values uses that design tool, not to mention additional safety margins.
The same applies for the cutoff frequency of the LC filter.
If you use a design tool from someone, you should ask that someone for those values, I think.
