Hi,

I'm trying to check the resistance of a chunt resistor using AgilentU142B, it shows me a value of 1.6 Ohm but it doesn't make sense because it should be a few m Ohm.

what is the issue?

Hi,

What is "AgilentU142B"?

* Read the datasheet of your measurement tool if it is meant to measure resistors in the mOhms range
* Usually with low value resistors one need to use 4 wire measurement technique.

If you have a multimeter Agilent U1242B you cannot check in range of mΩ. That 1.6Ω is the resistance of contact+probe_wire+Rshunt

Look for another instrument or a Kelvin bridge.
