Hi there,

I am designing a phase controlling circuit using an opto-triac (MOC302x) and a triac (BT137x) as shown below
Circuit.JPG
An AC source 230V-50Hz is connected to the circuit through connector JP1.
The values in the snubber is given in the datasheet of MOC302x. However, I would like to calculate them by myself.
I've found a guide in https://www.fairchildsemi.com/an/AN/AN-3008.pdf (pages 12). But I haven't found damp factor characteristic of BT137x. So how can I calculate them.
Btw, how much voltage for C1 and C2? I guest 400V but I'm not so sure about them.
Please help me.
Thanks,
