Which is pin 6 and pin 7 on MCP1407?

Hello,
Do you know if pin 6 or pin 7 connects to the p channel or the n channel fet? Datasheet doesnt seem to say.
Pages 2 and 3 show the situation.

We want to connect 10 ohms to gate of driven fet from the p channel, and have 82 ohms to gate from the n channel....so we cannot just connect pins 6 and 7 together.

Not sure if the drains are actually separated in DIL package, figure 1 must not be correct in this regard. In any case, operating it separately is beyond specification
Duplicate pins must both be connected for proper operation.

If you want to try it though, you should measure the actual connection. I guess it's as expectable by pin layout.

Thanks, the ability to put a different gate resistor from the high side fet than the low side fet woudl be very convenient..........since we want fast switch_ON and slower switch_OFF....so i am surprised the manufacturers have missed the trick of making the drains separate?....it woudl after all make such an improvement.
 

..ie we have done it like this, and wish to exvhange the zero ohm resistors for different value resistors...so we can get quicker turn on than turn off......but this is not adviseable?

Up to now it's only wishing and speculation. Can you measure separated drain terminals?
 

As Frank indicated the only way to be certain, is to measure the separated drain terminals, however I suspect they are internally connected to provide an adequate path for the Peak Output Current of 6A in the smaller packages. You might also notice the TO-220-5 package only provide one OUT terminal.
