Hi,
I am trying to design a circuit using 74LS04D HEX inverter ic with 14 pins in pspice but couldnot find it in the pspice library. Is there anyway to create our own IC in Pspice?

Re: Is it possible to create our own IC in Pspice software?

If you mean IC like a real silicon chunk in a package
with leads on it, then no.

I know old timers who have used PSpice (and a
third party layout tool) to design multiple ICs that
went to production.

74LS series kind of predates widespread CAD tool
availability but I'd bet there are models to be found.
Check what's there for LTSpice as well as PSpice
(bearing in mind Linear Tech loved their proprietary
behavioral models which are obscure and encrypted,
and likely not comprehensible to PSpice).

Kinda kooky that anyone would use LSTTL instead
of HC CMOS, says I. What possible upside is there?

I checked the Index of pspice model for 74LS04D HEX INVERTER but didnt find it. Is there any other 14 pin hex inverter similar to it available in Pspice?

Re: Is it possible to create our own IC in Pspice software?

Lose the D, for starters. That's a package code which
affects nothing.

7404. 74S04, 74F04, ... are all TTL (w/ or w/o Schottky
clamps, affecting prop delay and varying also in power)
which you could perhaps tweak to match datasheet
values.

Yahoo! LTSpice group has many, many contrib archives
of piece-part symbols and models.

When I look in the library files of 7404,74s04, 74f04 all I can see is just a not gate. 74f04.PNG
How do I get the 14 pin HEX inverter?

Re: Is it possible to create our own IC in Pspice software?

The symbol is for one channel. Place six of them and assign
net names as pins if you like. Or don't.

Re: Is it possible to create our own IC in Pspice software?

Do you mean in the schematic page I should keep 6 of them ? If so how do I give supply voltage and ground so that they all function like a single ic like in figure?74LS04.gif
Is there any videos that would guide me to do this?

You have to investigate things by yourself. It is clear from the picture that the legend C represents the 3rd part from the whole IC. The supply voltage is took from Vcc. I don't recognize the tool you are using from the above snapshot, but in LTspice you have to set it on the component itself, double clicking.
