    problem with signing a 2d array to another 2d array

    count and signal_out are 2d arrays 32bit*32bit.
    in this code i want to count the number of toggles of the signal sample(27) by count(27) and put the result in signal_out(27).
    Code:
    U_27 : counter port map (clk => SAMPLE(27),  count(27) =>  signal_out(27));
    but i receive an error which says "(vcom-1193) Formal "count" length is 32; number of individual associations is 1."
    i initialized the signal_out array to zero but it didn't help.
    please help me to correct this error.
    thanks

    Clk => sample(27)

    What a waste of clock buffer resources. Maybe you should learn what a clock enable is.

    Out of context code won't help you get an answer, you should post all the code.
