I have inherited a 1968 15 kW Generator... after a good steam cleaning, fuel system cleanout, and "re-building" the starter. To my (and my boss's) amazement, I got her running. Now I am having issues with the Crank Limiter Switch. Sometimes it cranks/fires the first try, and other times it takes a couple of whacks with a Hickory Limb.
My question: Is there a work-around that keeps the safety features but avoids finding the "Obsolete Item" issue. I have no schematics and have been flying by the seat of my pants. Thanks in advance, Chris.
