Hello.
I didn't know who to ask so I thought I'd see if anyone here could tell me if the possible Apple leak that came out on Weibo this week might point to the next phone or HomePod using Energous' WattUp RF tech rather than inductive for their rumored wireless charging. Sorry, I can't post a pic here, but we have been speculating the image looks like rf antennas instead of an inductive coil over on the StockTwits message board and any help would be appreciated, if you Google the latest leak images.
Thank you!

Thank you.

Doesn't sound reasonable. A 5.8 GHz wireless power transmission system like WattUp is light years away from complying with international RF regulations. Energous is creating an impression that the technology fully complies with FCC requirements, but up to now they have only an SAR evaluation report for a 1W closed coupled charger pad.

If it also works for phone charging power level or even the advertized "mid field" and "far field" range is questionable. Inductive charging is internationally approved. RF charging, if it comes at all, will need 5 or ten years to pass approvals. Just my guess.
