Hi,

My device needs 11V and 1A from cable output . I would like to know if I could give him 11 V and 4 A from batteries
I would like to know if it's ok or is it it bad for my device to have 4 timers higher current supply than what is needed?
Is there some way just to reduce the current to 1A but also keep the same voltage of 11V, like adding a resistance somewhere in the battery supply or similar?

Thanks

Hi,

A car battery easily can supply 150Amperes.
And it is safe to connect an incandescent lamp that draws 0.1A only.

Imagine you have a barrel with 100 liters of beer.
It is safe to fill a glass with 0.1 liters only.
