Minimal HDMI connection pins , only 8 pins is enough ??

Dear Gurus , tell me whats wrong ?

0) I try to use Mike Fields tutorial **broken link removed** ,I use only positive and negative clock, tmds 2, 1, 0 four pairs (8 pins) out and thats ok to have a video ? or other pins must be connected ?

1) use 2.5V fpga bank, with ( IOSTANDARD = DIFF_SSTL2_II_DCI ) Mike Field used Spartan 6, i use Virtex4 so i have not same IOSTANDARD feautures in constraint file.

2) and ODD instead ODD2 .

Hi,

Additionally you need at least GND.

I'm not sure: Isn't HDMI using LVDS signals?
