Any one ever pumped 20A through a ACS712 SOIC

Hi All,
I want to use an ACS712 module with a SOIC on it to measure max 20Amps AC. Does any one have experience to pump 20A through these modules. The ACS712 is a very tiny chip and I wonder if the legs of these chip can handle 20Amps. Please let me know if you have experience with the modules and high amperage pumping through them.

Hi,

Trust the datasheet.

Klaus

Added:
Btw: ACS712 is not recommended for new designs.
There is a replacement part.

Hi klaus, i have seen it. They have lowered the internal primary conductor resistance till 0.65mOhm.
Thanks for the tip

What is really important is that the board traces leading up to the IC are capable of handling that much current.

Thanks smithh Trigger, Yes I do realize that. Regards
