Hi, I'm sarah hyun

I've got a question about LM3914.

I want to put the hysteresis circuit when i design the LM3914 circuit

so i found the circuit (16 page on datasheet)

but I dont know how it works..

so can you explain the circuit about it?

Can you let me know the other method for hysteresis (LM3914) ?
Please Reply me !!

Why do you want Another Method?
This should work OK.

Many, many years ago, early 1980s, I devised another way to implement hysteresis, but it required a matched transistor array CA3096.
The version you show is simpler.

As additional LEDs Light up, The Current also Changes each time.
And with these Current Changes, the LM337 and the Associated resistors Slightly change the Voltage on the Reference Adjust of the LM3914.
