Hi there,

Does anybody know why I need a high resistor(like 1M ohm) connected between the input and output of a buffer?

Hi,

A rather unelaborated question ....leaves a lot space for guessing.

digital, analog, application, circuit, voltages, frequencies...?

--> show a circuit or refer to a document we can discuss about..
