Hello all,

What is the difference between General Purpose (GP) std cells and Low Power (LP) std cells in terms of Vt, leakage, setup/hold time...?

Thanks

It's a marketing term, so expect anything. GP is typically LVT cells (fast) with say 9 tracks. They leak quite a bit. Low power are typically HVT cells, slow, but don't leak much. Setup time is compromised with LP libraries, hold is kind of the same. LP libs usually tend to be density oriented too, so you might see something like 7.5 metal tracks.
