RKE Link budget calculation

Hi;
I work in projet to design a RKE receiver, i want to calculate the Link budget in order to know the specefication of my system. i have found i similar studie done by MAXIM. but they have a LNA amplifier of 15dB and it improve the sensitivity of just 3dB.
i thought that it must improve the sensitivity of 15dB. the link below for more information .
i need an explination
