I got some broken LCD laptop screens in various states of disassembly and I want to use the inverters to power the CCFLs but there are usually six or eight inputs to the inverter and I know if I reverse polarity, it breaks. What if I apply only a very small voltage, can I test the outputs and measure the behaviour? There is likely to be at least one input for controlling on/off and another for the brightness adjustment.
