Hi All,

I'm working on Cadence IC616 with UMC40LP technology & using Calibre for DRC. I've encountered following DRC error.

Code:
POLY1 must be covered by N+ or P+ implant layer
Exclude AA_CELL_MARK, HR and MR layers

I've turned ON the following switches Since it's a block level Design.

DRC UNSELECT CHECK L2_DENSITY // AL_RDL density checking
DRC UNSELECT CHECK POLY_DENSITY // PO1 density checking
DRC UNSELECT CHECK DIFF_DENSITY // DIFFUSION density checking

Follow the attachment for more details.....

Please do let me know how to handle this DRC...

Thanks in advance...

Undoped poly is a bad idea even if silicided. I would
expect that Booleans enforce field poly to be shot with
one of the two (N+ or P+) but maybe not. Extend the
N+ or P+ to cover all poly (plus extension), is what the
rule evidently demands.

Thanks a lot for your reply dick_freebird.

Things are very much cleared me from TLR (Topological Layout Rules) document.

Thank you once again for your kind reply.........
