variable frequency drive with three phase inducton motor

i am working on variable frequency drive with three phase induction motor gate driver circuit is creating problems as i have three pwm output from arduino and using ir2104 as gate driver but it is giving low out put but high output is not coming out good kindly tell me its solution(i have used 10uF,33uF,50uF capacitor)

Re: variable frequency drive with three phase inducton motor

Hi,

IR2104 problems are very frequently discussed here.
Therefore I´m very sure you will find the solution in other threads.
Usually the problem isn´t the IC, but some misunderstandings in the bootstrap functionality.

--> Use the search function. Read through other threads.

If you don´t find a solution, then we need to see your (exactely your) schematic, the PCB layout, scope pictures of input and output signals.
All external connections, voltages, frequencies, duty cycle....

Re: variable frequency drive with three phase inducton motor

68uF and 100nF both in parallel in the bootstrap circuit will be fine. What is the voltage rating of the capacitor(s) ?

Wow...Why 68uF?

I usually use 100nF ... 1uF.
--> Read datasheet and application notes about how to calculate bootstrap capacitor.

Re: variable frequency drive with three phase inducton motor

can any one here who intermix my arduino code for lcd interfacing
function code and lcd display code is there but i am new to arduino UNO and have little time kindly make it intermix??

Re: variable frequency drive with three phase inducton motor

I think you might want to cut the problem apart,
at the gate predrive interface (Arduino to half bridge
drivers). Begin with rigging a correct-digital-outputs-
level low duty pulse drive to one half bridge control
input (pair?) and attach to one phase of the motor
(return others to ground) and see if it's the half
bridge or the uC that's got the problem. Poking code
when you haven't got the power legs right, just
means you're "wasting your time and annoying the pig".
