hi,

how does one measure voltage received by antenna? is it DC or AC?

thanks

If is DC, means that all the electromagnetism theory elaborated by James Clerk Maxwell is useless.

the typical way someone measures the AC RF voltage at an antenna is to use a spectrum analyzer. This allows you to focus on only your desired signal, and ignore nearby interferrors.

Remember how a 'crystal' AM receiver needs a diode detector, to convert AC from the antenna into DC whose voltage changes depending on the audio content?
