Systems Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in the design and development of aircraft mission systems? We currently have a number of vacancies for Systems Engineers at our site in Warton.

As a Systems Engineer, you will be working with a range of activities across the various stages of the systems engineering lifecycle. You will be working with fast jet mission systems, such as: navigation, displays, controls, sensors, radar, attack & identification, armament control, weapons integration, communications, defensive aids, electronic warfare and electro optics.

This role will provide you with the chance to work with cutting edge aerospace technology with the chance to specialise in a specific area of mission systems. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the customers and suppliers in the UK, as well as overseas.


Your main responsibilities as a Systems Engineer will involve:

Systems requirements management, including the capture, manipulation and management of systems requirements

Research and development of systems

Design process engineering

Systems safety engineering, including the analysis of the systems safety requirements

Systems integration, including structuring and partitioning of complex systems

Systems performance analysis

Systems qualification and acceptance

Installation and support of systems


Your skills and qualifications as a Systems Engineer:

Essential:

Awareness of the systems engineering lifecycle/ V-model

Background in electronic systems or similar engineering discipline within a complex engineering environment

Degree or equivalent qualification or experience

Desirable:

Knowledge of PC hardware/ components and their various operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)

You will be a team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills to be able to forge partnerships with internal and external customers. Additionally, you will possess creative problem solving skills and be comfortable suggesting improvements and engineering solutions.


Location: Warton

Salary: £29,728+
