Help with IR capture (remote control) & playback

Hello guys , i search for a simple ir circuit which can capture the Infrared signals from remotes ( TV remote ) via the pc serial port and playback them .
please anyone help me and thanks

Have you seen articles about building this project on the internet?

The idea sounds simple but it requires several stages to carry it out. You can store the signals in a microcontroller, or in a pc which you must be able to open communications with via the usb port.
