Hi,

The ADF7242 transceiver comes with two RF ports, one (RF port 1) for reception only and another for Tx or Rx. Port selection can be done through the register rxfe_cfg to select desired port. I would like to know if both the ports can be enable and use the transceiver in Full duplex mode, i.e , simultaneous transmission and reception.

nope, half duplex. That is especially true since the same oscillator is used to form the tx signal, and the LO signal for receive.

IF you had TWO chips, and made the TX frequency some channel spacing from the receive frequency, then you could do full duplex.

For full duplex you must prevent the speaker sound from going into your microphone and get transmitted back to the other end as an echo. Telephone conference systems use a digital echo canceller to do it and it makes a model of the room acoustical environment and continues making small adjustments as it adapts to any changes.
