Hi,
Can any one please explain about the difference between electrical & mechanical compressor in truck technology.

Compressors are always mechanical devices. They can be either driven by an electrical motor or by the main machine through a fan belt.

Hi

Generally in MVAC (mobile vehicle air conditioning) uses mechanical compressors. They d'not have any motor to drive piston. Vehicle engine give that power to throw vapor gas via any belt and/or gears. But some cases we will see a compressor with inside motor. This types of compressor driven by any battery power or other power source compatible to compressor motor.
Maybe you have seen frick India (amonia projects) site. You found rotary type belt compressor (connect to external motor with belt) with loader/unloaded.

There are no more different expect to motor. But generally it's mechanical structure is different from each other. Just for a example a 10KW compressor with inbuilt motor and 10KW compressor with out motor... Perhaps those co-efficiency will be different, ratio (most impotent to select compressor in refrigeration), vapor throw power will be different but... these will 10kW (cooling capacity).

You will be need more and more study and other related information before use. One mistake will be cause of damage all over things like compessor ($ 1500 ) and R404 gas ($100).
