Hi all,

I know they are somehow similar but I do not yet understand all the subtilties of MSK and GMSK modulations, so I have a question:
Can a receiver such as CC113L from TI, which is capable to receive MSK modulated signals, to receive also GMSK modulated signals?
I am not interested in packet processing, I only want to know if MSK demodulator can handle GMSK signals. The packet decoding will be performed externally.
Thank you.

Hello pisoiu,
GMSK is just "a small preprocessing added to MSK". The preprocessing is that the signal is passed through a Gaussian filter.
So, any receiver that can handle MSK signals can also handle GMSK signals.
You just have to reverse the Gaussian filtering before demodulation, which you have stated will be done externally.
Regards
