we are using 2x16 LCD module in our electronic alarm system. some of the LCD module (10%) become out of order within short period.(2- 3 months). is there any suggestion to prevent the LCD modules. we are purchasing the imported LCD module which are available in the market.

Hi,

Many years ag we also had trouble with failing LCDs.

We found out, that it is caused by high voltage spikes coming from a signal line.

Besides of overvoltage (spikes) on signal lines or power supply, or even the metal case during normal operation,
such failures are typical for ESD problems during production.

Please check that the whole process:
* the parcel you get from your distributor
* stock receiving area
* quality inspection
* stock packaging
* assembling area
* and all other areas
Are true ESD protected
