Hi,

Can somebody tell me if I need a licence to use the ds18b20 commercially, I was told that you need a licence to use the DHT11 and DHT21 temperature sensors but not the ds18b20 ?

Thanks
Rizzy

I would expect some copyright claim, but just for some C code wrote for those devices by someone.

The data sheets don't mention any licencing requirement for the devices themselves but as Andre stated, there may be copyrighted software routines to interface to them. That doesn't stop you writing your own routines or using open source ones though.

Brian.
