Why Xilinx Embedded processor did not be continued?

Dear all,
I have seen that after Virtex-5 , Xilinx has stopped to embedded hard core into its next FPGA Families?
Is there anyone who know the reason? Wasn't it an optimum approach? Is soft core processor more efficient and popular than hard core?

I think the market and demand for PowerPC cores have dropped massively. Now they use ARM for their ZYNQ chips.
 
Are Zynq series FPGAs available for sale? I could not find them in stokes like Avnet and Mouser!
 

I have seen the Zynq-7000 Evaluation oard but i have not seen the chip alone! Dear tiwari.aditya13 , could you please show me where could i find it?
