A CRO = Cathode Ray Oscilloscope (A good old Scope)
A Scope with a "Tube" as the display screen
As opposed to the Scopes with LCD Screens.
A logic analyzer (or Logic State Analyzer)
Is a "pin tracer".
I have a 18 channel LA here , and i can connect each channel to a pin on my uC or Ram or whatever...
It will then sample the state of the pins , and show me a trace , much like a timing diagram.
So CRT = Oscilloscope can show "waveforms"
LS/LSA = Pin tracer , shows 0/1 states like a
timing diagram
