whats the cheapest way to get two circuits to communicate without having line of sight?
I can only find Infra red, RF, ultrasonic and bluetooth, all of which are either expensive or need line of sight.
I don't need massive bandwidth or long range. basically all it needs to do is tell the mainboard a 4 bit pattern depending on what switches are turned on and the mainboard to send back another few bits telling it what to do. the units are only about 5m apart, but are behind and inside other obstacles that would block IR and probably ultrasonic
anything I've found so far is $20 per transmitter/receiver at least and is capable of the high Kb per second data transfer over hundreds of metres
anybody got any ideas?
