how to use pic16f628a icd
Hai,
Anybody noticed any difference or problem in configuring LP mode?
32Khs osc is not working, CKT works in internal osc mode but when changes to LP or XT or HS with my 32KHZ crystal nothing happens. When osc pins are touched just starting ,again dead,Tried different caps from 22 to 100 pf, Any clue?
I have configured it and tried in internal oscillator mode. ICD is successfull in programming and verifying the chip. The programme is running also.
But ICD cannot function in debug mode.
device ID expected is0x89 but read is 0x83.
chip selected is 16F628A and the board is also having the same
Is there any chance that for this particular chip ICD supports only programming not debugging? ( No message like that from MPLAB!!)
Programming Configuration Bits

Entering Debug Mode
...Programming GOTO 0x00 command
ICD0083: Target not in debug mode, unable to perform operation

...Connected
Setting Vdd source to target
ICDWarn0020: Invalid target device id (expected=0x89, read=0x83)
...Reading ICD Product ID

MPLAB ICD 2 Ready
Chip is in internal oscillator mode. It is working when ICD is used as a programmer. 16F628A is the target.
Help.
