Researchers at the University of Bristol have recently demonstrated that quantum effects may be produced in silicon too instead of glass. Quantum chips are now believed to be available commercially in about 5 years from now. In view of these, I would like to ask how is it going to affect the future of chip design and chip designers. Will it render all of the current technologies obsolete or will it open up ever more vistas of new opportunities?

the future not only lies in the innovations we make but also the price we are willing to pay

cost effective quantas are sstill a distant future if they are brought now the whole world will surely rush towards it
