i took some SMD transistor like devices off a board of some broken VCR's, the markings on them were originally blacked out, removing of black paint on top of them revealed these:

ZS (on most of them)
BS (on a few)
BQ (on one or two)

just two letters, other than those two letters, there seems to be no room for any other markings.

they all have 3 pins, 2 on one side, 1 on the opposite side. i suspect they are BJT's, but not sure.

please help me identify them, what they are, and what kind they are, so that i could try find their
corresponding datasheets. thank you!

May be this can help

otherwise, the "AVR-Transistortester" from Markus F. is very suitable.

try to ideftify if they are bjt transistors by using diode test .. if these are transistors u can identify if its pnp or npn and also its legs and u can also get its beta ..
