I have been working on Turbo coded OFDM for past 1 month.
But the BER curve is not proper.
Does anyone know about turbo codes in detail?
I think the problem lies in the decoding part.
Please its urgent...
Thanks in advance.

I presume your using an RSC code, your decoding depends on the encoder chosen as well, without any input from you i.e. code or logic, it is practically not viable to poitn you int he right direction.
There are plenty of possibilities for your code to fail as you already know.
i) check the soft outputs are ok. ii) how are you certain your BER is wrong? what is your reference iii) are you using an interleaver? if so check your de-interleaving is ok.

There are a plethora of possibilities for errors, after all it is ECC! If you cna provide some background information in detail it might help in debugging.

If i send you the code can you help me???
Can you send your mail id?

In the turbo encoder 3 outputs are received
1. from the first RSC coder
2. from the interleaver and second RSC coder
3. Unencoded data

In the receiver which information becomes the apriori information?
Can anyone suggest good materials to understand the decoding part clearly?

Hi,

At the receiver the apriori starts as 0 and then as you use MAP algorithm you will iterate through the apriori probability.
you can look up turbo codes online there is ample ppt's and good stuff.
Besides, good ECC books are by i) ECC by Shu lin and DJ Costello ii) ECC by TK Moon iii) Art of ECC R.Zaragoza (has good implementation perspective but requires prior understanding of ECC)

Have Fun
