should be use for diamond ...

Don't you mean "brush" ? At least that's something it might be - a part to transfer current from static to moving part in an electric motor. See this link I found in Wikipedia article for more info. If so, the right part in picture is probably graphite (carbon) or some composite material containing large percentage of that.

should be use for diamond ...
