I hv Technics 111 cd changer model SL-MC410. Previously it was working ok on PC recorded cd's. I always use PC recorded cd's only. Normally now with 700mb cd i can burn on average 14 songs. But when i play after 8~9th song the cd player skips forward & backward. Guide me how to solve this problem.

1. Did you try with rewritable media? They're not working for CD-Audio and VCD/SVCD.

2. Tried same CD on another system? And works there?

3. Throw away your Technics CD player..they always sucked since CD was introduced...(o;

The reasons for this are many fold. Probably the lazor is the first place to look . Is a replacment out of the question .Try cleaning it, manualy. Make sure that the lazor carrige is smooth all the way along to the carrige stop. See if the skiping is beter if the lazor is allowed to warm up for an hour before you play a cd in it.
