Hey All,

Im measuring the total load on a 12Volt Battery. I have a few of the Allegro ACS715 which should fit the bill nicely (they are a 20A Hall Effect Current Sensor).

The main problem I have is I dont know if I should be wiring these in series on the high side or low side of the load.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi
the voltage drop on terminals of this sensor is very low and it doesn't make a big problem but if you want that your load and battery ground to be exactly the same put this sensor on high side!
