I want to simulate a 555 timer in astable model of opeartion for generating square pulses for of width 50 us at a frequency of 1Khz... since lm555 timer built in model is available in geda schematic editor, i went for it.... but i'am not able to get the correct netlist of the circuit..... is there any model parameters that has to be specified for the timer when using geda....

Herewith attaching the image for 555timer in astable mode of operation...

Hi,did you try 555wizards using multism?try and use it may be you can solved your problem by filling in the parameters then build the circute and see the output.

I've seen realistic results out of LTCSpice using the model
off their Yahoo! user group repository.

You should be aware that the 555 does not produce truly
square (50/50) output for most sensible RA/RB ratios.
Read the app notes if this matters to you.
