are they both the type of interrupts?? how do they differ? would be help if someone could site an example?

A procedure call is just a function call. You just call a procedure and when finished you execute the code of the caller. It is a synchronous mechanism.
Interrupt is a mechanism where you get the main code out of its normal execution by external or internal events. It is asynchronous mechanism.
