I want to build a specialist freeview box in the UK. I have the idea, and concepts however I am stuck with how I can build a box that can integrate all my ideas and produce a product that can be taken to market.

Can anyone provide me with some advice, or if there are any experts that would like to go help with some design/prototyping with me that would be great.

Looking forward to hearing back from some people on this.

Regards

Stuart

Re: Free View Box

Unless you an expert in OFDM decoding and have the financial muscle to design and produce your own LSI devices, you are stuck with what the 'big boys' in the industry already produce. Freeview boxes are only cheap because they are mass manufactured, if you want to go it alone the costs will be very significant.

Before making ambitious plans, browse web sites and see if one of the existing products can be adapted to your needs. You have not made it clear in which way your proposed product is innovative.

There is a lot that can be hacked in the Topfield PVRs and Topfield supply a development resource kit. It might be worth a look. Toppy.org.uk
