Hi,

I am trying to enable DV-IN on a Sony DCR-TRV 125se camcorder, using
the schematichs from
http://www.sps.volyne.cz/set1394/anin/adapter.html
(left one)
However, when I connect it to the LPT port, it does not work :( The cable used to work with another computer (back in '98 ), but it does not work with a laptop now.

What can cause it?
Difference in voltage between camcorder's LANC port and LPT port?

Is the software and the OS on the laptop compatible with the adaptor? Maybe it is a windows 2K/XP (new) vs. windows 95/98 (old) problem.

Hi,

Check in your BIOS ( when you restart the computer, need to press DEL on the keybaord ) and check that your setting to the LPT port are set as EPP or ECP as said in the link.
Also, go back to the main page and read everything. I saw some coments there that look very importnat!

Good luck.
