Help me to find the smoothing capacitor value

I have done a PWM motor control to 220VDC shunt motor. and the motor is driven by a power MOSFET.

I need to find a smoothing capacitor value to put in the 220V DC rail to run the motor smoothly. the max motor current is 8.3A and maximum peak current of the motor is about 20A

can anybody help me on that
